Fatal crash in Carbon County near Fromberg
A tragic two-vehicle accident occurred on Monday afternoon on Highway 310, resulting in the death of a 67-year-old Billings man. According to the Montana Highway Patrol, the man was driving his Ford Explorer south on the highway when he attempted to make a U-turn near Foust Lane. After allowing one vehicle to pass, he turned directly into the path of a Ford F350 pickup truck driven by a 24-year-old from Powell, Wyo. The collision caused both vehicles to jackknife and land in an irrigation ditch, ultimately leading to the death of the Billings man as he was being transported to the hospital. This marks the second fatal accident in as many days on Highway 310 in Carbon County, following a separate incident involving a Park City man on Sunday night.
