Fatal crash in Boone County
An early morning crash on Irene Road in Belvidere resulted in one fatality on Wednesday, Dec. 17, according to the Boone County Sheriff's Office. The driver of a 2002 Lexus lost control of the vehicle and hit a tree at around 5:40 a.m. Emergency responders were called to the scene, where the driver was pronounced dead. The individual's identity has not yet been disclosed.
