Fatal crash claims life of 58-year-old motorcyclist in Stark County
The Ohio State Highway Patrol's Canton Post is currently looking into a tragic accident that resulted in the death of a 58-year-old motorcyclist in Stark County over the weekend. The incident occurred at around 1:20 p.m. on Saturday on Frank Avenue near Mega Street in Jackson Township. The crash involved a 2000 Indian Chief motorcycle, ridden by a 58-year-old man from North Canton, heading south in the center lane on Frank Avenue. A 24-year-old driving a 2011 Chevrolet Silverado was also traveling south on Frank Avenue. Initial findings suggest that the 24-year-old attempted to turn left from the far right lane onto Mega Street, leading to the motorcycle colliding with the car's driver's side. Sadly, the 58-year-old man succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead at the hospital. It was noted that he was not wearing a helmet at the time of the collision. The authorities are currently investigating the crash further.
