Fatal crash causes shutdown on Eldron Boulevard in Palm Bay, police say
A fatal crash Friday afternoon caused a portion of Eldron Boulevard SE to shut down in Palm Bay, according to police. The crash occurred around 4:30 p.m. at Digby Road SE — the location of the shutdown on Eldron Boulevard SE — and involved two vehicles, the Palm Bay Police Department said in a statement. Drivers were instructed to seek alternative routes. The name of the victim, who has so far been identified as a man, was not released at the time of this writing. The roadway would remain closed as Palm Bay's Traffic Homicide investigators and Crime Scene Unit processed the scene, but should be "opening up soon," the statement reads.
