Fatal Collision on Powers Boulevard at Platte Avenue on Saturday
A recent collision on Powers Boulevard near East Platte Avenue has turned fatal, as confirmed by the Colorado Springs Police Department. The incident, which took place at approximately 6:15 p.m., resulted in one individual losing their life. Responding officers discovered a person trapped in one of the vehicles involved, who was subsequently rescued by emergency personnel and transported to a nearby hospital in critical condition. Unfortunately, the individual succumbed to their injuries. The victim's identity has not been released at this time. The Colorado Springs Police Department Major Crash Team is actively investigating the incident, which preliminary findings indicate involved an SUV crossing the center median and colliding with a southbound sedan. As of now, no one has been arrested in connection with the crash.
