Fatal collision on Lake Shore Drive in Chicago, 2 dead, 2 injured, according to police
A deadly collision occurred on DuSable Lake Shore Drive in Chicago's North Side early Sunday morning. The incident resulted in the loss of two lives and left two others injured. According to Chicago Police Department, the crash took place in the 3900 block of S. DuSable Lake Shore Drive in Oakland. The authorities arrived at the scene at approximately 4:24 a.m. Reports indicate that a Kia sedan, driven by a 33-year-old man with a male passenger, collided with a Chevy sedan carrying two individuals. The driver of the Kia was transported to the University of Chicago Medical Center for treatment of undisclosed injuries. His passenger was also taken to the same medical facility for treatment, and both were reported to be in stable conditions. The Major Accidents Investigative Unit of CPD is currently looking into the circumstances surrounding the crash.
