Fatal collision claims life of Bogalusa resident
A man from Bogalusa tragically lost his life in a collision between two cars on Louisiana Highway 21 near Lon Miley Road in Washington Parish. The accident occurred on Saturday at 12:30 a.m. Louisiana State Police reported that Gary W. Pittman, aged 43, was driving southbound on LA Hwy 21 when his vehicle crossed into the opposing lane and collided head-on with a GMC traveling northbound on the same highway. Pittman was fatally injured in the crash and was pronounced deceased at the scene. The other driver sustained severe injuries and was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment. The incident remains under investigation.
