Fatal car crash involving Joplin resident evading police
The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported that a man from Joplin, aged 38, was driving an eastbound Chevy Silverado and attempting to escape patrol vehicles when the truck veered off the road and hit a river embankment. Sadly, the driver was declared deceased upon arrival at a hospital in Joplin. A passenger in the vehicle, a 36-year-old man from Joplin, sustained serious injuries and was transported to a nearby hospital. The Missouri State Highway Patrol does not disclose the identities of individuals involved in vehicle incidents.
