Fatal car crash in Jefferson Parish
Two individuals lost their lives in a tragic car accident in Jefferson Parish on June 9th. Louisiana State Police reported that Oscar Carter IV, 80, and Martha Bradford, 77, were killed in the collision on LA 3152 near King Street. A third passenger in the vehicle survived with only minor injuries. According to authorities, Carter was driving a 2013 Infiniti G37 in the center lane when it veered into the left lane and struck a Nissan Altima. The Infiniti then hit a tree after entering the median. The impact caused the Nissan to cross the median and collide with a Buick Encore traveling south. Carter succumbed to his injuries at the scene, while Bradford was taken to a local hospital where she later passed away. Both individuals were not wearing seatbelts. The occupants of the other vehicles involved were properly restrained and sustained minor injuries.
