
Fatal Car Accident in Charleston
Correction: Charleston PD clarified that the accident occurred at 4:33 a.m. near I-77, not at 7:30 a.m. near I-64 as initially stated. In Charleston, West Virginia, two individuals tragically lost their lives on Sunday when a vehicle drove off the I-77 interstate bridge and onto Pennsylvania Avenue. The Charleston Police department reported that the incident happened early in the morning on I-77 South close to the 64/77 split. Emergency responders mentioned that the car collided with a cement barrier and came to rest near the Martin Marietta Charleston Yard on Pennsylvania Avenue. Four individuals were in the vehicle at the time, resulting in the deaths of two occupants while the other two are in critical condition. Pennsylvania Avenue was briefly closed but is now open to traffic. Authorities are investigating the crash. Stay tuned to 13 News for further updates.
