Fatal California crash sends motorcyclist over guardrail
Investigators from the California Highway Patrol are currently looking into the circumstances surrounding a tragic motorcycle accident in Corona that resulted in a fatality over the weekend. The incident occurred on Cajalco Road just east of Eagle Canyon Road around 8:45 p.m. on Sunday, as the vehicles were traveling in opposite directions near a sharp turn. Upon arrival, officers discovered a motorcycle down on the roadway near a car with front-end damage and a shattered windshield. The identity of the motorcyclist has not been disclosed, but the individual was ejected over the railing during the collision and was pronounced deceased at the scene by paramedics from news video service OnScene.TV. The occupants of the car involved in the crash received on-site medical attention from paramedics, but did not require hospitalization. It is currently unknown whether substances like drugs or alcohol played a role in the accident.
