Fatal boat crash on Hilton Head leaves two dead, two injured
Two individuals lost their lives and two others were injured in a boating accident that occurred on Friday evening at Hilton Head Island in South Carolina. The Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office, along with the South Carolina Department of Natural Resources and the U.S. Coast Guard, responded to the incident that took place at around 9:45 p.m. on Friday. Upon arrival, emergency responders found a boat carrying four people, with two individuals sustaining injuries and being transported to a nearby hospital for treatment. Tragically, the other two occupants were declared deceased at the scene. The Beaufort County Coroner’s Office has not disclosed the identities of the victims, and the cause of the accident remains under investigation with further information pending. Hilton Head Mayor Alan Perry expressed his condolences on Facebook, sharing his thoughts and prayers for the affected families, and urging for comfort during this difficult time.
