The incident involved two vehicles and occurred around 3:20 a.m. on the northbound side of the freeway near the transition to the 134 Freeway. Emergency responders from the Los Angeles Fire Department reported that one person was trapped inside a car that was engulfed in flames. Despite efforts, the individual was declared deceased at the scene. The Fire Department also confirmed that the injured person from the other vehicle was receiving medical evaluation.
