Fatal accident on Interstate 40 in Forsyth County
Last week, a tragic single-car accident on Interstate 40 in Forsyth County, N.C., resulted in the loss of four lives. According to the North Carolina State Highway Patrol, the incident occurred around 7:05 p.m. on October 12 when a 2021 Honda Accord, traveling at a high speed, veered off the road and collided with a bridge pillar at Cole Road. The impact caused the vehicle to ignite, claiming the lives of all four occupants: Davian Jacob Silvestri, 23, from Goldsboro; Elijah Brown, 18; Deandre Dwayne Wimley, 18; and Marcus Phifer, 21, all from Virginia. Authorities determined that excessive speed played a major role in this devastating crash.
