Fatal accident on Highway 310 near Fromberg
A 67-year-old man from Billings lost his life in a collision on Highway 310, two miles south of Fromberg, as reported by the Montana Highway Patrol. The man was driving his Ford Explorer and attempted to make a U-turn, allowing one vehicle to pass before a second vehicle, a Ford F350 driven by a 24-year-old from Powell, Wyo., was unable to stop in time due to a curve in the road. This resulted in a collision on the driver's side door, causing both vehicles to veer into an irrigation ditch. The 24-year-old driver was unharmed, while the Billings man passed away en route to the hospital. This incident marks the second fatal crash within a short span on Highway 310 in Carbon County, following a separate collision the previous night near Rockvale that resulted in the death of a Park City resident.
