Fatal accident in Milwaukee near 50th and Custer; driver failed to stop at intersection
A 48-year-old man was taken into custody after a deadly collision in Milwaukee on Tuesday morning, Dec. 16. Police reported that the man drove through a stop sign near 50th and Custer at around 1:40 a.m., leading to a crash with another vehicle that was turning. The man sustained minor injuries and was admitted to a hospital for treatment. He has been detained. The driver of the other vehicle, a 47-year-old, was also hospitalized for serious but non-life-threatening injuries. Unfortunately, a 63-year-old passenger in that vehicle passed away from their injuries. The case will be forwarded to the Milwaukee County District Attorney’s Office for potential criminal charges.
