Fatal accident at I-5 to I-80 interchange in Natomas
A fatal car accident occurred on Monday at an interchange between two major freeways in Sacramento's Natomas neighborhood, as reported by the California Highway Patrol. The crash took place around 4:30 p.m. on the interchange connecting northbound Interstate 5 to eastbound Interstate 80. According to CHP officers speaking to a KCRA 3 team onsite, the driver, who was the sole occupant, was traveling at a high speed and veered off the road, ultimately overturning the vehicle, which landed on its roof.
