Fatal 3-car crash shuts down I-49 North in Cass County
The northbound lanes of Interstate 49 in Harrisonville are currently closed following a tragic accident on Thursday afternoon. According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol (MSHP), a preliminary investigation revealed that a tractor-trailer failed to stop for traffic, resulting in a collision with another tractor-trailer and an SUV. The SUV driver has tragically passed away. The road will remain closed for an unknown duration, with MSHP advising drivers to use exit 158 to Commercial Street as an alternative route.
