A tragic incident occurred at a Walmart parking lot in Saukville, where a driver mistakenly accelerated instead of braking, leading to a collision with a woman who later succumbed to her injuries. The driver, a 74-year-old woman, accidentally pressed the wrong pedal while attempting to park in an accessible spot. The victim, a 50-year-old woman, was struck as a result. Witnesses, including Les Wiedenhoeft, rushed to assist but sadly, the victim passed away at the hospital. The police have deemed the incident an accident and no arrests were made as the driver is cooperating with authorities. The victim has been identified as Mailee Hang, described by her family as the heart of their family due to her kindness and humor.
