Eastbound I-580 at Isabel Avenue in Livermore shut down due to police activity
(KRON) -- Eastbound lanes of Interstate 580 near Livermore were shut down Friday due to police activity. However, as shortly before 4 p.m., all lanes had been reopened. The CHP confirmed to KRON4 that law enforcement was negotiating with someone on an overpass experiencing a mental health crisis. Officers were on hand attempting to make contact with subject. CHP said the incident was peacefully resolved. Drivers are advised to expect delays. This is a developing story. Check back for updates.
