Driver of semi-truck dies in Metrolink train accident in Ventura County
A tragic incident occurred when a Metrolink train collided with a semi-truck at a private crossing in Moorpark, Ventura County. The collision took place around 2:15 p.m., resulting in the death of the semi-truck driver. Despite the severity of the crash, the train cars and engine remained upright on the tracks. Emergency responders, including the Ventura County Fire Department, were on the scene, and one person on the train sustained minor injuries. As a result of the accident, there will be delays for motorists on State Route 118. Metrolink services were impacted, with some trains ending their routes at the Moorpark station. The incident is under investigation by the Moorpark Police Department and the Ventura County Medical Examiner.
