Driver in hit-and-run accident dies in separate crash in Grand Rapids.

A driver, suspected of causing an initial hit-and-run crash, tragically died in a subsequent solo crash where his vehicle collided with a tree in Grand Rapids. The Grand Rapids police received reports of the hit-and-run incident at the intersection of Hall Street and Buchanan Avenue around 1:30 a.m. The driver, operating a Chrysler Town & Country minivan, fled the scene and later crashed into a tree near Buchanan Avenue and Stevens Street, resulting in the van rolling over. The driver was pronounced dead at the scene, and fortunately, no injuries were reported in the initial hit-and-run crash. Law enforcement authorities are currently investigating the circumstances leading to both crashes.
