Driver in fatal Minnesota crash charged with DWI had plans to "tear into it tonight," according to charges
A man from southern Minnesota, previously convicted of two prior DWIs, is now accused of causing a fatal wrong-way crash while driving drunk. The tragic incident took place on Highway 56 in Randolph, Minnesota on a Saturday morning. Responding officers discovered an SUV and a pickup truck, both damaged in the front, with the SUV also on fire. Two individuals, identified as Peter Olson and Patricia Olson, lost their lives at the scene. The driver of the pickup truck was identified as Seth Nechville, who exhibited signs of intoxication including smelling of alcohol, bloodshot eyes, and watery eyes. Nechville initially denied consuming alcohol before the crash but later confessed to drinking the night before. He acknowledged that he should not have been driving under the influence. Nechville faces charges of criminal vehicular homicide and second-degree DWI. The reports mention that Nechville had previous DWI convictions in 2019 and 2023.
