Driver in critical condition after school bus crash near local school: OSHP
ST. CLAIR TWP., Ohio (WKBN) -- The Ohio State Highway Patrol responded to OH-7 south of Beaver Local High School after a car crash with a school bus Thursday morning. Troopers responded to the crash shortly before 8:30 a.m. Ohio State Highway Patrol Sgt. Stephen Murphy said two school buses were traveling southbound on OH-7. Murphy said that one of the buses stopped to pick up a child. The school bus behind it put on its brakes. Murphy said that the driver of the car did not stop far enough away and hit the second school bus. According to Murphy, the driver of the car is in critical condition and was taken to Mercy Health Hospital in Boardman. Murphy said that the driver of the car was trapped in the vehicle and had to be removed. Troopers said that no one on the school bus was hurt. Brian Oehlbeck contributed to this report.
