Driver critical after collision with semi near Ohio border

A serious accident involving a semi truck near the Ohio state line caused a section of State Road 37 to be closed for several hours on Wednesday. The incident occurred in the morning, leading to the closure of lanes in both directions between Campbell and Allen roads, just east of Harlan and Spencerville. The road eventually reopened later in the afternoon. The driver of the car, described only as an elderly woman, was critically injured and taken to the hospital. Law enforcement officials stated that the car had momentarily left the road before colliding with the rear of the semi, which had slowed down due to traffic. Fortunately, the driver of the semi was unharmed in the incident.
