Driver, 27, sentenced for deadly suspected DUI accident on I-805
A 27-year-old man from San Diego is in custody and is facing charges of DUI and vehicular manslaughter following a fatal accident on a freeway in the Mountain View area. The man, identified as Markus Eugene Turner, was driving a black Honda sedan on Interstate 805 when he veered off the road and hit a parked silver Toyota sedan, according to the California Highway Patrol. The collision involving two other vehicles resulted in the death of the Toyota driver, whose identity has not been released. Turner and several others involved were taken to the hospital for injuries of varying degrees. Following his release from the hospital, Turner was arrested and is currently held in San Diego Central Jail on $130,000 bail. He is expected to appear in court for arraignment on Wednesday.
