Des Moines police sergeant in crash with no serious injuries
Des Moines law enforcement officers are thankful that a sergeant and multiple individuals emerged unharmed from a major collision on Merle Hay Road Sunday evening involving three cars. Authorities reported that a driver attempted to overtake another vehicle, veered out of control, and skidded into incoming traffic. The car collided with a police SUV and a pickup truck. The driver of the car was taken to the hospital, but all others involved received medical attention at the scene.
