Deputies identify wrong-way driver killed in head-on crash

The wrong-way driver killed in a violent head-on crash with a semi-truck carrying corn in Belle Glade Thursday morning has now been identified as 35-year-old Kevin Hudson. According to the previous reports , the crash happened around 6:19 a.m. in the 900 block of Duda Road. Investigators say the Belle Glade man was driving a Nissan Altima southbound in the northbound lanes when he collided head-on with a semi-truck hauling corn. The impact was so severe that the Nissan became lodged underneath the semi, with the hood and roof torn off in the crash. Deputies had initially been unable to identify him due to the severity of his injuries. The semi-truck driver suffered minor injuries. Authorities say the crash also caused corn being transported by the truck to shift and spill onto the roadway.
