Deer causes another deadly crash in northeastern Iowa in less than two weeks.
For the second weekend in a row, a deer has been involved in a fatal accident in the same county in Northeast Iowa. The Iowa State Patrol reported that on Saturday morning, a motorcycle driven by 64-year-old Daniel Fisher from Salem, Wisconsin, collided with a deer on Highway 76 in Allamakee County. Unfortunately, Fisher lost control of the Harley Davidson bike and was ejected, resulting in his death at the scene. The Allamakee County Sheriff's Office, Waukon Fire Department, Allamakee County Medical Examiner, Danny Mac's Towing, and Veterans Memorial Hospital Ambulance all responded to the crash. Similarly, just over a week prior, another accident involving a deer occurred in Allamakee County, where an ATV driven by Heather Lynn Jones overturned after hitting a deer near Waterville, leading to her tragic death.
