Deadly Road Accident in Northern Cote d'Ivoire
At least 14 individuals lost their lives and 21 others were wounded in a traffic incident in northern Cote d'Ivoire on Saturday morning, as per an official statement reported by News.az citing BBC. The accident occurred at about 5 a.m. on a roadway in the Kabadougou region involving a truck transporting grains and unlawfully carrying 69 passengers, stated the country's Ministry of Transport. Amadou Kone, the transport minister, has directed officials from the Kabadougou regional transport authority to promptly go to the site to gather initial details on the incident. Kone emphasized the importance of vehicle drivers conducting all necessary mechanical checks before embarking on their journey and urged all road users to adhere strictly to traffic regulations.
