Deadly motorcycle accident in Northeast Philadelphia: authorities

The Philadelphia police are currently looking into a tragic accident that took place in Northeast Philly on Wednesday night. Reports from Philadelphia police indicate that two individuals lost their lives while attempting to escape from police during a chase. It is reported that around 9:00 p.m., the accident occurred at the corner of Comly Road and Roosevelt Boulevard. Sources within the police department have informed FOX 29's Steve Keeley that two individuals were on a motorcycle that police suspected may have been stolen. Following a pursuit by law enforcement, the motorcycle allegedly went through a red light and crashed into a white van. The two individuals on the motorcycle, believed to be the suspects, were pronounced dead at the accident site. There is no update on the condition of the driver of the white van. The investigation is still ongoing.
