Deadly crash in Mills County on Friday

In Mills County, Iowa, a tragic two-vehicle collision occurred on Friday afternoon, resulting in the loss of two lives and injuries to four individuals. The incident took place at the intersection of Highway 34 and 195th Street, southwest of Glenwood, around 4:20 p.m. According to the Iowa State Patrol, a school bus traveling eastbound on Highway 34 collided with an SUV that had entered the roadway from a stop sign at 195th Street. The occupants of the SUV, Ralph Schultz, 62, and Perla Schultz, 66, from Ewa Beach, Hawaii, were fatally injured. The school bus driver, Jeanette Henderson, 63, sustained minor injuries, as did three passengers on the bus. The bus was reportedly carrying the Council Bluffs St. Albert Softball team, leading to the cancellation of their Friday night games against Fremont-Mills. Authorities from the Iowa State Patrol and the Mills County Sheriff's Office responded to the scene to assist.
