Deadly crash at Highway 79 and Buncombe Road junction
A tragic incident took place in Caddo Parish at the junction of Highway 79 and Buncombe Road in Bethany during the early hours of June 1. Authorities from Caddo Parish responded to a collision involving a truck and an 18-wheeler around 1:35 a.m. as reported by deputies on site. The truck, heading south on Highway 79, veered into the northbound lanes and collided with the 18-wheeler. Regrettably, the driver of the truck was declared deceased by Caddo Fire District 3 at the accident site. The driver of the 18-wheeler received medical attention at the scene and was later discharged.
