Deadly collision between two school buses in Newark results in fatal injury to bus driver
A tragic incident occurred at Gauger-Cobbs Middle School when a collision between two school buses resulted in the death of a bus driver. The incident took place on a Thursday morning when an IC 300 school bus parked in the drop-off lane was struck by another bus, leading to the passing of a 54-year-old driver from Wilmington. The second bus, driven by a 53-year-old woman from New Castle, unexpectedly moved forward for unknown reasons. Fortunately, although the buses were transporting 48 students at the time of the accident, there have been no reports of student injuries.
