Deadly accident near Peyton shuts down Murphy and Elbert.
The Colorado State Patrol (CSP) announced that a tragic collision involving two vehicles led to fatalities, prompting the closure of the Elbert Road and Murphy Place intersection, located north of Peyton. In a preliminary report by CSP, it was revealed that a Ram 3500 and a Chevrolet Suburban collided at the intersection. While the Ram driver remained at the scene, their passenger was hospitalized. Tragically, two individuals in the Suburban lost their lives at the scene, with another being airlifted for medical care. Due to the blockage caused by both vehicles, the intersection remains closed as investigations continue.
