Deadly accident in McLean County
A tragic incident occurred in McLean County, North Dakota, where an 88-year-old man from Bottineau lost his life in a collision. The North Dakota Highway Patrol shared that the man was driving his Toyota Camry on Highway 37 towards the Highway 83 intersection when the accident happened on Friday, November 28, at approximately 5:00 p.m. The elderly man stopped at the intersection and proceeded to enter, only to be struck on the driver's side by a 32-year-old woman from Tioga driving a Hyundai Santa Cruz southbound. The weather conditions were challenging, with icy roads, snowfall, and high winds. Sadly, the man was pronounced deceased at the scene, while the woman sustained injuries and was taken to a hospital for treatment. The NDHP is currently investigating the crash.
