Tragic Accident in Fillmore Claims One Life, Injures Children A serious multiple-vehicle accident in Fillmore resulted in the death of a woman and injuries to four children. The incident took place on the evening of July 2nd at the junction of Highway 126 and D Street. The Ventura County Sheriff’s office is investigating the collision involving at least two vehicles, potentially a third. While there have been reports of more fatalities, only one death has been confirmed by Capt. Jason Karol. The injured children were quickly taken to nearby hospitals, with some in critical condition. The California Highway Patrol and Caltrans assisted with traffic management while the investigation was carried out, causing temporary disruption in the area. The names of those involved have not been disclosed, and the cause of the crash is still being looked into.
