Crash shuts down major road in South Lansing
LANSING, Mich. (WLNS) — A multi-vehicle crash closed a portion of Martin Luther King Blvd. in South Lansing Thursday night. 6 News is currently working to learn more. Responders sent out an alert at 8:33 p.m. advising residents that Martin Luther King Blvd. was closed between Cavanaugh Rd. and Vincent Ct. in Lansing due to a crash. At this time, 6 News has not independently confirmed how many people were injured or how the crash occurred. When our crew arrived on the scene, they saw several police, fire, and EMS vehicles from multiple jurisdictions in the area. People were seen being loaded into ambulances and taken to the hospital. 6 News saw five damaged vehicles, but witnesses on the scene claimed there were six involved. 6 News has a call out to authorities for additional information, but we were told that they are currently seeing a high rate of calls.
