Crash near Maxwell, Ne leaves one dead
A North Platte woman is dead following a head-on crash Saturday night just east of Maxwell. The Lincoln County Sheriff's Office says deputies responded to the crash around 8:13 p.m. on Highway 30 near 21361 West Highway 30 after reports that a woman was trapped inside a vehicle. Authorities say Lisa Sabin of North Platte was pronounced dead at the scene. Investigators say Sabin was traveling westbound when her vehicle crossed the center line and collided head-on with an eastbound SUV. The driver of the SUV was taken to Great Plains Health with what are believed to be minor injuries. Accident reconstructionists were called to the scene, and the crash remains under investigation. The Lincoln County Sheriff's Office extends its condolences to the Sabin family.
