Country singer charged in Germantown crash
A country music artist was involved in a tragic accident that resulted in the death of Dorothy "Dot" Dobbins in Germantown, Tennessee. The singer, Conner Smith, has been charged with a misdemeanor for failure to yield the right of way when Dobbins was struck and killed while crossing a marked crosswalk. Despite the incident, witnesses reported that Smith tried to assist Dobbins until medical help arrived. Smith has no evidence of impairment or distracted driving, according to authorities. Smith will appear to be booked for the citation on August 7th.
