Coroner names 19-year-old killed in head-on crash south of downtown Fort Wayne

Video shows initial coverage of the fatal crash FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) - The Allen County Coroner has identified the driver killed in a crash early Monday morning as a 19-year-old man. The coroner identified him as Ken Dion Dilworth from Fort Wayne. Shortly before 5 a.m., police responded to South Clinton Street near the intersection with McKinnie Avenue, south of downtown Fort Wayne. Investigators determined Dilworth had been driving a car that crashed head-on with a box truck and burst into flames. Dilworth was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the box truck had minor injuries. Witnesses told police the car ran a red light while allegedly racing another vehicle. No information was available on the other vehicle, which supposedly kept going. The coroner determined Dilworth died from multiple blunt impact injuries from the crash. The manner of his death was ruled an accident, which is the standard for collisions.
