Coroner IDs woman killed in high-speed, rollover crash in State College
Officials with the Centre County coroner's office have identified the victim of last week's deadly, high-speed crash in State College. Investigators say 48-year-old Raina Kassoway, of Boalsburg, was killed Wednesday morning when she crashed her vehicle into a retaining wall near the intersection South Allen Street and Easterly Parkway. Police reported that according to video surveillance, Kassoway was allegedly traveling northbound along Allen Street, at a high-rate of speed, when she lost control. Investigators say Kassoway was transported to Mount Nittany Medical Center where she later passed away, despite life-saving measures being taken by first responders. According to an autopsy report, the coroner ruled her cause of death as blunt force trauma to the head and chest, and her death was ruled accidental.
