Coroner identifies man killed in accident at Upstate warehouse
ANDERSON COUNTY, S.C. (WSPA) - One person was killed Monday afternoon in an accident at a warehouse in Anderson County. According to the the Anderson County Coroner's Office, at around 1:45 p.m. first responders were called to an Industrial Warehouse Services warehouse on Pearman Dairy Road regarding an industrial accident. At the scene responders found 57-year-old Anthony Mark Lamattina III, an employee at the warehouse, had succumbed to injuries he sustained by being pinned underneath a pallet of materials. The coroner's office said Lamattina was helping unload a truck with a coworker who was using a forklift when the materials on the forklift reportedly fell on top of him. His death has been ruled an accident. The incident is under investigation by the coroner's office, Anderson County Sheriff's Office and OSHA. The coroner's office said Lamattina was a volunteer fireman with Double Springs Fire Department.
