Coroner identifies 3, including 10-year-old, killed in Hamilton crash
The Butler County coroner has now identified the individuals who lost their lives in a fatal multi-vehicle collision on Sunday in Hamilton. The incident, occurring at approximately 4:30 p.m. by River Road and Hooven Avenue, involved three vehicles and resulted in three fatalities. The deceased have been named as Milton Alvarez Lagos, aged 35; Bety Salazar Lopez, aged 27; and Milton Salazar Alvarez, aged 10. The crash report from the Ohio Department of Public Safety revealed that a 2008 Pontiac Torrent crossed the median and collided with a 2008 Honda Civic, leading to a chain of events that also involved a 2002 Ford F-150. The post-crash findings indicated the Torrent's speedometer was stuck at 80 mph. The section of River Road between Laurel Avenue and Hayes Avenue was closed following the incident, with investigations ongoing by the Butler County Serious Traffic Accident Reconstruction Team and Hamilton police.
