
Contractor rushed to hospital after loader falls into basin at Raleigh water plant, city officials say
RALEIGH, N.C. (WNCN)—An accident at a water treatment facility in Raleigh on Tuesday sent a man to the hospital. Raleigh city officials said a contractor at the E.M. Johnston Water Treatment Plant was operating a front-end loader when it fell into an empty basin. The man found himself stuck underneath the equipment until firefighters were finally able to safely remove him. The worker was taken to a nearby hospital for what’s believed to be minor injuries, city officials said. The Occupational Safety and Health Administration has launched an investigation into the cause of the accident.
