Continued probe into police pursuit, collision & gunfire: Family of crash victim suggests ways to remember him.

A thorough investigation is ongoing into the police pursuit, crash, standoff, and shooting that occurred on Tuesday, starting in Parma Heights and concluding on Tiedeman Road in Brooklyn over Interstate 480. Video footage from patrol car dashcams and officer bodycams has been released by the Parma Heights Police Department, shedding light on the events that transpired involving Patrick Kerr, a 45-year-old man who was reportedly armed and threatening to harm himself. After a neighbor agency notified the police about Kerr, he was observed driving a Black F-150, initially complying with traffic rules before suddenly fleeing, leading to a collision with other vehicles. The standoff lasted for hours, during which Kerr, who had a history of suicidal threats, was fatally shot by a tactical officer. The Ohio BCI is investigating the shooting while Parma Heights and Brooklyn police are looking into the chase. The family of Ronald Liszka, a victim of the crash, is struggling to comprehend the tragic incident. Liszka, a father of two, was a dedicated driver delivering blood and medical supplies for area hospitals, with a decades-long connection to the Red Cross. Liszka's son hopes his father's story will inspire others to contribute to blood donations, particularly during times like Fourth of July when the need is high.
