Community remains 'heartbroken,' weeks after crash with UHP trooper claims life of Eagle Mountain man.
Loved ones are remembering Army veteran Jack Wilcoxon, who tragically lost his life in an auto-pedestrian accident in an Eagle Mountain community. Jack and his wife, Mandie, had recently moved to the area from North Dakota and were beginning to establish themselves in the neighborhood. Jack, who served in the military as a medic for six years in Afghanistan and Iraq, was highly respected in the community for his service. Following the accident on January 7, where Jack was fatally struck by an on-duty Utah Highway Patrol trooper while out for a walk with Mandie, the community is rallying together to show support and compassion for both families affected. Despite the heartbreaking circumstances, the focus is on spreading love and kindness during this difficult time. Donations are being accepted to assist Mandie and her children with funeral expenses and daily needs, but even small acts of kindness can help keep Jack's memory alive in the community.
