Colorado State Patrol attends deadly accident near Peyton on Sunday.
The Colorado State Patrol (CSP) responded to a tragic accident in El Paso County over the weekend. The collision occurred at Elbert Road and Murphy Place near Peyton on Sunday afternoon. CSP reported that a Ram 3500 and a Chevy Suburban were involved in the accident near the intersection. Unfortunately, two individuals in the Suburban lost their lives at the scene, while one was airlifted to a hospital. The passenger from the Ram was also taken to the hospital, while the driver remained at the accident site. The roads are closed for investigation, and there is no set time for reopening. CSP is conducting the investigation and asks anyone who witnessed the crash to contact dispatch at (719)544-2424.
