Clerical error allowed driver accused in fatal DWI crash back on road, DA says

A woman investigators say was driving drunk in a crash that killed her co-worker was back behind the wheel. Investigators blame a clerical error. Morgan Lange struck Joshua Soden outside Bentley’s Tavern in Malta on September 8, 2025. He died after weeks in critical condition. PREVIOUS: Glenville woman indicted on DWI vehicular manslaughter charge Investigators say Lange’s blood alcohol level was .12% at the time and that she tried to hide alcohol evidence. Now, the district attorney tells CBS6 Lange was able to obtain a conditional license due to a paperwork error. The judge re-suspended her license Tuesday morning.
