Church wall damaged as car crashes into it, RPD investigates
A vehicle collided with the wall of St. Ambrose Church in Irondequoit on Empire Boulevard during the night on Sunday. Rochester Police Department responded to Culver Road and Clifford Avenue after receiving reports of the crash. Upon reaching the scene, officers found damage to the church caused by the car, which was deserted by its occupants. The church's damage was assessed by Code Enforcement, allowing Sunday mass to proceed, albeit with a section of the church closed off.
